Help for You or a Loved One 

Luckily for us, there are numerous resources for mental health if you or a loved one is in need. Below I have listed a few of the resources available to you. I want to help people in all countries, so tried to find mostly online resources hoping everyone can utilize them!  Please contact me if you know of more resources that would be helpful to others! 

Suicide.org

This website is an amazing resource for suicide prevention, awareness, and support. Suicide.org has articles ranging from helping a loved one to a forum for survivors and everything in between.  Here is a list of suicide hotlines by country! 

HealthfulChat

This website is an online peer health support system.  On their site it says, “ HealthfulChat covers an array of illnesses and conditions, from Pregnancy and Infertility, Cancer, Obesity and ADHD, to Depression, Anxiety, Stroke and HIV and AIDS, to name but a few. Each individual illness or condition is separated into a community of its own so that you can connect with a worldwide population of peers to meet, greet, share, and support.” 

Crisis Chat

IMAlive is about helping anyone in crisis through online chat.  “IMAlive is a live online network that uses instant messaging to respond to people in crisis. People need a safe place to go during moments of crisis and intense emotional pain.”

Sexual Assault 

RAINN  (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the largest anti-sexual violence organization in the United States.  RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice. You can chat online or call and there are resources for children, trauma, and to help someone you love.

Substance Abuse, Mental Health and Suicide Prevention

DrugRehab is a free web resource that provides information about substance abuse, mental health issues, and suicide prevention. Multiple sections including understanding addiction, the treatment process, as well as resources and tools are all available for you. A resource provided online is a free download of “The Sobriety E-book”!
